WeddingIt's officially wedding season! One or more of your friends are about to say "I Do" and all you can say is, "I don't have anything to wear!" Figuring out what to wear to a wedding isn't always easy. With weddings venues and styles getting more and more creative, knowing what to wear can be complicated. Pretty Distressed

Pretty Distressed I didn't mean to leave you for a week without a post, but I had to take some time to recharge my batteries. If you follow me on Instagram, then you've seen photos from my trip to Montreal, a beautiful city with charming French influences. Now that I am refreshed and ready for fall, I thought this casual look would be a great transitional outfit for the season.

You can make distressed denim look pretty, with the right styling. My Joie white leather jacket is my new favorite outerwear piece. With my oatmeal colored top from Artizia, the jacket is also the perfect layering piece for a cool summer night. These white Oliver Peoples sunglasses and my necklace duo from Greenwich Jewelers adds a feminine touch to this chic outfit.

Black and Blue

atkinson_rankins_aug15_1of4_4941_fullcropThere is something about a shirt with open back detail that I can't seem to resist. I found my Wilfred t-shirt at Aritzia, the sophisticated yet fashionable boutique that is quickly becoming my new favorite store. I am also wearing some midrise classic black skinny jeans by The Castings, which I also bought there. I am wearing my favorite cut out booties, which are a fantastic way to transition your summer wardrobe to fall. You can catch me in a hip casual look like this on any given weekend. My Jamie Joseph accessories, from Greenwich Jewelersadd just the right amount of whimsy to complete my look.

Reina Diane von Furtenburg e

Modern Roman DVF

Reina Diane von FurtenburgThere is no one like Diane Von Furstenburg. Her ability to create some of the most interesting prints and silhouettes season after season is what has attributed to her success. My DVF (for short) Reina Dress was perfect for my last trip to Florida, the vibrant print fits right into the colorful landscape. You don't need too many accessories with this look, so I just kept it simple. My favorite pair of Via Spiga wedge sandals go well with this Roman inspired look. Outfits like these are memorable, so don't be tempted to make this a go to look!

Sherita ThirdLook Final

Light on Top

Sherita_ThirdLook_Final-2I almost called this post "A Walk in the Park" but thought it may be a bit much since I am wearing 4 inch heels! Nonetheless, I just love the simplicity of this white Aqua Sweater with Chiffon Detail ($78) paired with these stacked Marcia Moran Necklaces from Greenwich JewelersI would wear this outfit to a brunch/lunch with my girlfriends since it has this casual yet well styled feel to it. I am wearing some of favorite high heeled sandals by Alexandre Birman, which I got on sale a couple of seasons ago. I found a similar pair below along with a bag to match! Happy Spring!

Navy Statement

Sherita_SecondLook_Final-1When I saw this Navy Draped Cape Top by Cut 25 online, I knew I had to have it! The open back detail gave just enough sex appeal to wear for a night out, but still subtle enough to wear during the day. I paired the top with this amazing Theia Statement Necklace from Greeenwich Jewelers and by wearing my favorite simple grey jeans, these studded  Pour La Victoire Booties were also the highlight of my outfit. The unique Sorellina Morganite ring which compliments this look is definitely more of an investment than fashion piece. All these pieces independently make a statement, but with thoughtful styling they create one very chic look.

Casual Rocker

Sherita_FirstLook_Final-2As much as I love being classic and professional, there is a small part of me that can't resist the urge  to just rock out from time to time. This is when I bring out the distressed jeans, graphic tee and start stacking my rings. Greenwich Jewelers styled my amazing stacked ring look (below) and I can't get enough of it! My Helmet Lang asymmetrical zip up sweater can really be a versatile light weight jacket for any occasion. Brooklyn T-Shirt Factory is a go to for graphic t-shirts, this New York based company combines cool designs with their signature style. My Rebecca Minkoff handbag from 2012 is right in trend with all the fringed accessories that are popular this season, but is a subtle way to rock the look. My advice: Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, even if only with a cool handbag or interesting jewelry.
